The 15th Anniversary Celebration of the Institute for Mindfulness-Based Approaches (IMA)
It was a wonderful four-day celebration in early July 2016 on the lovely grounds of Seminar House Oberlethe, near Oldenburg in Germany. The days were filled with inspiring workshops, a day of mindfulness, and free time in a very special environment.
The meals were delicious, the walks in the beautiful grounds refreshing. Stimulating conversations during the breaks and in the evening provided an opportunity to meet and forge new friendships.
The day of mindfulness concluded in the evening with a magical sound meditation
At the conclusion of the workshops on Saturday afternoon, Nils Altner led a group of over 80 participants in mindful meeting exercises
Günter Hudasch, president of the German MBSR-MBCT teachers association, acknowledged Linda Lehrhaupt’s pioneering role in founding the IMA in 2001. Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, also sent his congratulations in a text message that was read out to the large group.
Saturday concluded with a lively party, with much dancing and special performances by guests
Many thanks to all IMA staff, faculty members and friends of the institute who offered workshops and other events.
